Slate Retail REIT (TSX: SRT.U) (TSX: SRT.UN) (the "REIT"), an owner and
operator of U.S. grocery-anchored real estate, announced today that it
has entered into a binding agreement to acquire Dorman Centre (the
“Property”) for U.S. $46.0 million ($118 per square foot). The Property
is 97% occupied, is Walmart-anchored and is located in the
Greenville-Spartanburg-Anderson Metropolitan Statistical Area. Closing
is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2017 and remains
subject to customary closing conditions.
