Slate Retail REIT ("Slate Retail" the "REIT") (TSX: SRT.U / SRT.UN)
today announced that it has successfully completed the previously
announced acquisition of a grocery-anchored shopping center located in
Waterbury, Connecticut.
Waterbury Plaza was acquired for U.S.$27,150,000 (U.S.$192 per square
foot). The 141,443 square foot property is 100% occupied and anchored by
Stop & Shop, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Dutch supermarket operator
Ahold.
